While we were in San Francisco for Steph+Ben’s wedding in January we scheduled a shoot with Drew+Tine. We were uber excited to head into downtown, see the golden gate, and photograph this gorgeous couple! Tine is Steph’s older sister and we’ve all been friends for years. Drew+Tine moved from Dallas to the west coast a couple years back and spent some time south of SFO and recently moved back to their hometown of Seattle. We miss them soooo much!! Spending the weekend together only made us miss them all the more! We had the most fun I’ve had in a long time… like the laugh til you cry kind of fun weekend!!! There’s nothing better than a trip with friends!! :) Tine+Drew really are two of our dearest friends and we are crossing our fingers + hoping that we’ll be able to visit them asap! This past August Tine+Drew celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary — so it is about time they have some updated photos for their walls. We love you guys!!!
ps: this whole session took place in 30 minutes :)

it’s was super windy/foggy… but that makes for fun dress shots!

We didn’t get to do any sight seeing while we were in SFO… we didn’t even get to drive across the bridge, boo! On the way back to the car I snagged a couple random shots, I love the architecture of this city, I swoon.

Here’s a little sneak peek at our shoot from this afternoon…. so much more to come! Our week/weekend was crazy busy, but so much fun!! Hoping this week slows down enough that I can get back to regularly scheduled blogging :) Isn’t Brooke beautiful?!!!!?

We haven’t been all together for over a year… Christmas of ‘08 to be exact. It was so nice to spend the afternoon together today just talking, laughing, and being sisters. I love them! I’m glad to be the oldest of 3 girls… I’m glad to have all sisters… I’m glad for today :)

On Thursday morning we woke up to SNOW… in Texas!! Beto thought it was a mini winter wonderland but as the day went by it turned out to be a record setting foot of snow!!! It has “snowed” or more like iced here before… but we actually got real, beautiful, Michigan-like snow!! “Snopocalypse” “Snowmageddon” “snOMG” were just a few of the many exclamations on twitter. Snow ball fights and snowmen showed up on every corner. It was beautiful! Truth is, it was all fun and games until the power went out… yeah you heard me right… we’re at 35 hours and counting of no heat, burrrr! Here’s a bit of the fun we had!

Lucy is a spoiled indoor cat who never gets to go outside…

this is what she does when she’s freaked out, haha!

pretty girl :)

yay, snow!!

Meet our snowman… it was Beto’s first snowman ever!! I went outside and found him shaping a pile of snow, haha! Rolling is the key!

We ended the night with a hot bowl of homemade chicken rice soup and bread!
It was 108 degrees that August day… I’ll never forget it. My entire family drove me and all my belongings to Texas at the ripe old age of 17 (I don’t know what they were thinking). I walked in to my new apartment to find someone else’s decorations adorning the walls. Who were these other girls, I wondered? I walked into the bathroom to find a duck themed bathroom and everything in it’s place. I cried. I was moving into someone else’s apartment and home was far, far away. I remember saying through the sobs, “I’m mad right now… but I know she’ll end up being my best friend.” I had no idea! Stephanie Maria Danley and I soon became inseparable. She really was my BEST friend!! We had amazing roommates that year… girls I am so blessed to call friends. The legend of 205 remains in our hearts and although 9 years have passed… nothing has changed. These are the type of friends you just pick up with… friends you call when life throws you curveballs… friends that you thank God for every time you think of them. I digress…
On January 17, 2010 Stephanie pledged her life and love to Benjamin Patterson. They began their life together surrounded by only the closest of friends and family. I was honored to celebrate alongside my lifelong friend. :) These are just a few photos Beto and I were able to capture that day, we were guests you know!

It was a rainy weekend in the SF Bay area.
